Welcome! I am an experienced data scientist with over ten years of expertise leading projects that apply artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing to create business value.

I actively collaborate with product stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives and take a hands-on approach in coding using generative AI, NLP, and many other ML methods.

I currently live in Maryland, right outside Washington, DC.

Background

I am currently an SME Data Scientist at ManTech, working to implement AI in the federal government, focusing on security. I also work as a freelance consultant across various sectors, including higher education, HealthTech, and finance. Additionally, I have served as an adjunct professor at the [University of Baltimore Merrick School of Business](https://www.ubalt.edu/schools-and-colleges/merrick-school-of-business/index.cfm).

Previously, I was a Staff LLM Data Scientist at Magnifi by TIFIN, where I build an AI-powered copilot for investments. Before that, as a Senior Principal Data Scientist at Invesco, I leveraged AI/ML to enhance performance in multiple areas, including real estate, fund management, ETF development, and government affairs. I also held a data science role at AIG on their Science team, working across investments and insurance to develop models for travel insurance and workers' compensation. My career began at Swiss Re, where I trained as a Casualty Pricing Actuary, working in both reinsurance and direct insurance.

I hold a BA in Mathematics (with a minor in Economics) and an MA in Statistics, both from Columbia University.

After living in Manhattan for 16 years, I now reside in Maryland with my wife and two children.
